We had a blast – literally – making this Civil War era music video with Joey+Rory.

We had so many amazing people come out and help with the shooting of this video. Special thanks to David Andrews II, Gene Andrews, Sons of the Confederate Veterans, and all the other re-enactors who gave their time, sweat and probably even a few tears. Thank you to Tammy and Katie Hatcher of Southern Belles and Beaus Event Planning for helping us step back in time with their perfect props and costumes, to David Hardin and Brian Richardson for helping make the battle scenes look realistic with their smokin’ pyrotechnic skills as well as Israel Horne our stunt coordinator and his human punching bags. Thanks to SnapRoll Media for their Helicam artistry, to Jay Smith of Maury Light Artillery and Porters Battery for providing the huge guns and canons, and to the countless others who were involved in making this video happen. This is the first of two spots we did for Houchens IGA in Glasgow, KY.

lilDRAGON collaborated with Werkshop Marketing to create this heart warming commercial that shows you the newly remodeled Houchens store mixed with a bit of nostalgia- reminding you of the good ol’ days when Cracker Jacks came in boxes and had decoder ring prizes. Though Houchens is being remodeled and Cracker Jacks now have a piece of paper as the prize, the heart of it all is still the same and will continue to be for generations to come.

We had a great day shooting with these awesome folks. They kept the energy up the entire day, making it a pleasure to work with them!

Nothing says family quite like sitting around a large table eating cold mashed potatoes and ham with a bunch of people you just met- well – in the commercial world anyway.

This spot is the second of two spots filmed for Houchens IGA, Glasgow. lilDRAGON collaborated with Werkshop to create this touching commercial that brings back all the good memories of holiday dinners with the fam. – and- by-golly we sure know how to pick out a convincing family, don’t we?

Everyone who helped out did such a great job it really made for a smooth day of shooting and that’s the way we like to keep it around lilDRAGON’s Lair.

If anyone has been wondering what lilDRAGON has been up to lately, well, we’ve been filming our first tv show, and boy does that take a lot of work- especially when our very own director, Gabe McCauley, decides to also be the host of the show. The sensational country music duo, Joey+Rory, who keep popping up everywhere (including the top 10 music video charts on GAC) may not own their own tv, but they do have their own tv show which easily enough is called The Joey+Rory Show!  If you like country music, a hostess with the mostess, good ol’ home cookin’, and some knee slappin’ humor all rolled into a 1950′s-variety-type-show , then  you should definitely tune into RFD TV and see a full length episode.

lilDRAGON has been working on this for the last few months and the first season is wrapping up this week.  If you have missed out on the this season do not fear- the filming of the second season is underway – which also means reruns of the first season will be airing soon.

Apparently Citizens First Bank does help everything grow as this commercial states- even the numbers on the heat index. Despite the blistering sun beating down on us all day we were able to knock this little guy out in a few hours. Everyone did a great job battling the high temperatures and taking care of business.

Special thanks for Shatana Johnson for knowing how to sport heels in the red dirt and putting up with the demanding life of an actress for a day. Also, a special shout out to the little furry lady in the commercial, Gretchen. This was her debut as an doggie star, but it won’t be her last! Don’t worry- she’ll be signing paw-to-graphs later.

lilDRAGON has traded in their flat caps and barefoot shoes for some good ol’ cowboy hats and a nasty pair of spurs- shooting country music videos will do that to ya’.  Even though this change of costume does make us look like a couple of tough hombres, this music video definitely made the tear gates over flow.

This song is not your typical upbeat country radio tune, but trust-you-me, it does not disappoint. Just ask GAC – it’s currently #13 on the music video charts. Joey’s hauntingly beautiful voice is the perfect fit for this sorrow-filled love song and her love for Rory is evident with every heartfelt word. lilDRAGON had a great time filming this video as we always do when working with the wonderful Joey + Rory.
